Cordless phones for care staff
Cordless phones for nurses
An extension that follows each nurse, with coverage on every floor.

Why DECT
Built for voice, not shared with the Wi-Fi.
DECT phones talk to bases on their own radio band made for calls. They do not compete with resident tablets, TVs and laptops on the Wi-Fi, so calls stay clear when the building is busy.
Each base covers part of the building. We plan how many you need and where they go from your floor plan, so there are no dead spots at the end of a corridor or in the dining room.
One extension per handset
Each nurse or unit gets a number that rings, transfers and holds like a desk phone.
Ring groups by unit
A call to the second floor rings every handset on it, then rolls to the station.
Rugged handsets
Sealed against dust and water and built to survive drops, for kitchens, laundry and maintenance.
Hands free
DECT headsets for staff who need both hands.
How we set it up
Planned, installed and on your system.
- We look at your floor plan and walk the building where we need to, then place bases so every hall, room and common area has coverage.
- We set up the handsets on EmpireUC, or on the phone system you have now when it supports it, with each extension, name and ring group in place.
- We install the bases, test every corner and leave spare batteries and chargers where staff can find them.
- Support is one number, answered 24/7, for the handsets and the rest of the phone system.

Questions
What operators ask us.
How many bases does a nursing home need?
It depends on the size of the building, the number of floors and what the walls are made of. One base covers part of a floor; most facilities need several. We plan it from your floor plan before you buy.
Can families call a nurse handset directly?
Yes. A handset can have its own number or extension, or calls can go to a ring group for the unit and roll to the station when nobody answers.
Will these work with our current phone system?
Often, yes, if it is a SIP system. Tell us what you run and we will confirm. They work with EmpireUC and Facility Connect.
Why not use Wi-Fi phones or mobiles?
Wi-Fi phones share the network with everything else in the building, and mobiles depend on carrier signal inside. DECT is built for calls and is usually more reliable on a care floor.

See who is at the door and let them in from the desk.

A phone line in every room, on one bill.
